Gonimbrasia zambesina pupae from Kenya, for sale.

Pupae of Gonimbrasia zambesina belong to a large African moth species of the Saturniidae family, mainly distributed across southern Africa and tropical regions of the continent. Adults reach a wingspan of approximately 10–13 cm and display brown, beige, and pinkish wings with prominent ornamental eyespots typical of saturniid moths.

The pupae are robust, smooth, and dark brown in color. They can be placed on a slightly moist substrate such as peat or coconut fiber, maintaining good humidity and ventilation to promote successful emergence. Direct contact with excessive water should be avoided.

This species is appreciated by breeders and collectors for its large adult size, ease of care, and fascinating life cycle.
