Attacus lorquinii is a large Saturniidae moth of great interest for amateur insect breeders. Adults emerge faster compared to Attacus atlas and pair easily in medium size rearing cages (40x60cm). The larvae consume a wide range of common host plants and are fairly easy to rear in captivity, they are characterized by yellow spines on the dorsal part of the body, which are visible since L2.
