We offer cocoons of the African moon moth, adults will emerge in 2-6 weeks from now. Pairing them can be successfully obtained in medium size (40x60cm) cages, either outdoor or indoor.

Argema mimosae is a giant silk moth of the family Saturniidae, found in central Africa. It is very similar, tought smaller, to the Madagascar moon moth, Argema mittrei. The adults display stunning long tails and live around 5-7 days. Caterpillars are fairly easy to rear on a variety of host plants which are wide spread found.
