Actias ningpoana vs Actias selene
The taxon ningpoana (Felder) had been regarded as a subspecies of Actias selene until recently and was included as a good species in Ylla et at. (2005). Animals grow very well on Liquidambar and cocoons can overwinter if stored at low temperatures. Keeping them at room temperature, continuous generation is possible to achieve throughout winter.
