Differences between Attacus atlas and Attacus lorquinii

Adults of Attacus atlas and Attacus lorquinii show similar overall morphology, they are both called giant atlas moths. They are usually distinguished by the wings, A. lorquinii lacks the second, smaller, window on the forewing.
As caterpillars, their difference is even more clear. A lorquini has typical yellow spines and is smaller in size.
Curiosity about Attacus atlas: The larvae of atlas from Sumatra and Malaysia are quite different from those from Java and Bali, so they are considered different sub-species of A. atlas.
