Dear friends and colleagues, we are very happy to offer this additional moth species in combination with endemic butterfly and moth pupae from Madagascar. All these pupae can be ordered now and will be shipped the day 14 or 15 December 2020. Courier shipping only to ensure their fast and safe arrival.

Attacus atlas, cocoons from Thailand. The giant atlas moth. One of our favourite species. Despite being fairly common in captive broods, obtaining an healthy stock has become quite difficult. Thailand population is the biggest in terms of wingspan (we have seen many specimen above 26cm), they score records in terms of pupal weight and number of eggs laid. Thai atlas have bright colors and more thin terminal tips of the forewings. A single pupae can weight up to 18-19g and, after emergence, it can lay more than 300 eggs.​

Antheraea frithi cocoons for sale. A. frithi is a wonderful Saturniidae distributed across continental south east asia. Adults show a plethora of different color forms, you will hardly find two adult moth that look the same in terms of color pattern. We offer cocoons of this species, adults will emerge in 3-6 weeks from now. Pairing them can sometimes be tricky for unknown reasons, copula can be successfully obtained in medium size (40x60cm) cages, either outdoor o indoor. A fertile female lays many hundreds of eggs, normally from 200 to 250.
