Diapherodes jamaicensis is an attractive and relatively uncommon species in captivity. Despite its impressive adult size, it is considered straightforward to rear when provided with suitable environmental conditions. Adults show clear sexual dimorphism, with females being much larger and more robust, while males are slimmer and possess fully developed wings.
Our breeding colony is maintained with a balanced ratio of males and females, ensuring that all eggs are produced through natural sexual reproduction. Eggs should be incubated in a warm, humid environment with adequate ventilation to prevent mold while maintaining the moisture required for successful development.
