Ceranchia apollina cocoons are now available, this species is endemic from Madagascar. C. apollina is an unusual Saturniidae, commonly called ghost moth. It is reared for silk production in Madagascar but scarcely by amateur breeders. It’s cocoon is made of golden silk, stratified in two main layers: the outer (thin and loose) and the inner (thick and compact). For an overview on the host plants for C. apollina look at this interesting article https://breedingbutterflies.com/the-host-plant-of-ceranchia-apollina/
